Suddenly, the work changes.
You’re no longer responsible only for your own output, but for how others perform, feel, and collaborate.
At the same time, expectations increase and clarity decreases.
Most managers are thrown into this role without training, support, or space to learn.
It’s not surprising that 40% of first-time managers leave the role within the first 18 months.
If you’re a manager, this might feel familiar:
-
Your calendar is full before the day even starts, and focus time feels like a luxury
-
You feel guilty delegating or not contributing directly
-
You know you shouldn’t do the work yourself anymore, yet stepping in still feels easier (and safer!)
-
Managing people who were your peers feels awkward, and you’re not sure where to draw the line
-
You’re noticing that what works well with one person doesn’t work at all with another
-
You make decisions with incomplete information and second-guess them later
-
You delay certain conversations because there never seems to be a “right” moment
-
Your days are busy, but at the end of them, your impact feels hard to point to
-
You care deeply about your team, and you didn’t expect leadership to feel this lonely
Welcome to the manager role!

Hi! I'm Vicky
I’ve always been drawn to the complexities of human behavior, which led me to study Psychology and become a certified Coach.
I’ve coached 100+ managers through one of the toughest career shifts: from individual contributor to manager. I’ve seen firsthand what makes this transition challenging, and what helps people succeed.
I guide managers to shift their mindset from doing to achieving results through others, and to build the skills needed to create cohesive teams that not only meet their targets but also sustain high levels of engagement.
I also help managers develop strategies to prevent burnout, manage stress, and maintain their own wellbeing in demanding leadership roles.
About you
Are you a newly promoted manager navigating new responsibilities, or have you been in your role for some time without much support?
Some managers walk away before they’ve had the chance to grow into the role. If you’re willing to stay and work through the complexity, you don’t have to do it alone.
Manager Accelerator Program:
I walk alongside you to help you make sense of what you’re facing and decide how you want to lead.
My approach is 1:1 and blends coaching and mentoring, complementing your natural resourcefulness with practical, battle-tested strategies that drive real results.
The program consists of a minimum of six sessions, tailored to the challenges you’re dealing with right now.
